The warmer weather is now with us, however we are still enjoying the occasional shower to keep everything green and lush. Our temperate rain forest and Mediterranean type climate is unique in Western Australia, thus the popularity of our region during the hot 'Aussie' summer. This is not what most people expect to find in Australia - a cool, green paradise, with birds and wildlife everywhere - mother nature has surely excelled herself here!
Many of the 'new season' joeys are venturing outside the safety of their mother's pouches for the first time. It's very entertaining watching these young joeys try out their legs for the first time - bounding around in circles then jumping back into their mother's pouch. If you've never seen this before, you'll be amazed!

All our chalets have a 32 inch HD LCD TV for your viewing pleasure and we have recently installed an ipod / iphone docking station / sound system. Compare what we offer in the way of quality fittings, fixtures, facilities, location, privacy and service, before you book elsewhere and expect to find something 'similar' at a modest saving, but end up disappointed. The old saying 'you only get what you pay for' is as apt today as when it was first coined!
The "Targa South West Tarmac Rally" was held in Pemberton on May 21 & 22. As many as 50 fast cars were taken to the limit. This has now become an annual event for Pemberton. Click on the link for details, photos and some videos! As local volunteers, we can vouch for the fact this event was spectacular and brought many motor sports fans to sleepy little Pemberton!
All our chalets offer reverse cycle air-conditioning (heating and cooling) as well as a log-fire. They are very well insulated, being built from colonial double brick. There's nothing nice about being too cold or too hot. We want to ensure our valued clients have a comfortable stay with us. We offer wireless internet access via our two-way satellite service. Bring your laptop to our reception area and we'll give you the password so you can check your emails and send some of your holiday snaps to family and friends. Our resident Kangaroos play in front of the chalets every day, boxing, lying on their backs and grooming their joeys. What wonderful natural entertainment for you to enjoy in a unique and private location. There are numerous local opportunities to try your luck for wild trout or red fin perch. If you are unsuccessful, we can always direct you to places where you are guaranteed a catch, like King Trout Cafe. Pemberton offers heaps for the visitor, from fine food, wine, boutique beers, liqueurs, hand made chocolates and more. A number of tours can be enjoyed in the Pemberton region to places like the Yeagerup Sand Dunes, the largest land-locked sand dune system in the southern hemisphere. The drive over the dunes can be quite demanding and requires a degree of skill, but the destinatiion is breathtaking and a photographer's dream. Guided walks, tours of the timber mill, four wheel drive tours of the national parks and coastal dunes, canoe trips down the Warren River and boat trips down the Donnelly River are all on offer.
