As a registered "Land for Wildlife" we only have native fauna
on our property. We are home to several distinct, large mobs of Western
Grey Kangaroos. These kangaroos have free passage to our property from the
adjoining national park as there are no boundary fences. It's common to
see as many as 30 or more of these interesting creatures sun-baking and
boxing directly in front of the chalets. Our guests have commented in the
past, on how wonderful it is to see so many native animals in their
natural habitat.
For many of our overseas visitors staying at Karri Valley
Chalets, it is usually the first time they see kangaroos in their relaxed
and natural state and for most, it's one of the highlights of their
holiday in WA.
